How to become an auditor?

In order to become an internal auditor it is necessary to have knowledge of a given standard and the audit methodology itself. Persons who intend to become auditors in the field of e.g. the BRC system usually have a few years of experience in working in the food industry - because this standard is dedicated to this sector and they need to familiarize themselves with the requirements of this standard. In such a situation, it is worthwhile to apply for training to independent certification bodies, whose employees always have the most up-to-date knowledge.

Many training companies organize courses designed for candidates for the position of auditor from both the BRC system and ISO, such as ISO 9001. During the meetings, participants not only learn about the requirements of a given system, but also learn about the work of an auditor. Candidates are prepared both theoretically and practically for planning, conducting and reporting audits.
