Binding is an easy way to bind sheets of paper into dedicated backs. There are a lot of binding techniques, but each of them requires a separate device and consumables (covers, ridges).

The wide range of backs and covers makes it possible for documents to be arranged in a functional and eye-catching way in any company.

Before we make a choice about the binder we must take these parameters into account:

1. the type of ridges in bound documents

We have several types of devices on the market, depending on the type of spine:

comb binders - bind to plastic ridges
wire binders - bind them to wire ridges
comb-wire binders - allow to use both above mentioned types of ridges
Strip binders - documents are bound to them with a plastic stripe.
thermal binders - the luminaire is made with the help of special covers, which are equipped with glue on the spine
spiral binders - bind documents in a spiral spine, which enables turning the sheet of paper by 360 degrees
ClickBind type binders - bind to snap-in ridges, and these also enable turning the sheets of paper by 360 degrees.

2. the size of the bound documents

The simplest machines bind documents to up to 90 sheets. Binders characterized by high speed and efficiency are able to bind documents up to 450 sheets. In some models there is a document thickness gauge that indicates which spine width should be used for the luminaire.

3. number of punched cards in one go

Binders punch from 10 to 100 cards. Please note, however, that the manufacturers indicate the number of sheets with a thickness of 70 g in the information.

4. A binder, but a lever, or better still an electric one?

Binders with manual steering are equipped with a lever, which after pressing it punches the pages or bind the document. Electrical devices, on the other hand, make work much easier, and in addition, are characterized by speed and much greater precision. So we don't have to use force to punch through any document file - it's comfortable to do despite a lot of work to do.

5. the system for deactivating punching knives

Some of the binders have the ability to switch off specific knives so that customized documents can be bound.

Adjustment of margins - last parameter

Some models of binders are equipped with an edge adjustment function. This is a useful option that allows you to set a suitable gap between the holes in the document and the edge of the document.

The document can therefore be bound in a number of ways to achieve the most desired appearance.
