The mobiParking service operating within SkyCash is now available in 40 Polish cities. In the last few days, payments using the application were launched in Rzeszów and Konin. The solution covers more than 90% of all paid parking zones in the country and offers the function of paying for actual parking time, which is currently used by the majority of system users.

SkyCash has been developing a network of mobile parking payments since the end of 2011, providing drivers with a convenient way to pay their bills using mobile phones. The system eliminates tedious activities such as prediction of parking time, searching for a parking meter or returning to the vehicle to insert a parking ticket behind the glass. The mobile application gives access to three parking methods: on time, for a fee (as in classic parking machines) and Start/Stop, which is chosen by nearly 80% of mobiParking users. It's all about convenience and the ability to pay only for the actual downtime, with up-to-the-minute accuracy. Just get out of the car, start the app on your phone, start parking, and then stop charging with a tap of the screen.

The mobiParking service is available in 40 cities and covers over 90% of all paid parking zones in Poland. It can be used in the largest agglomerations of the country, e.g. Warsaw, Wrocław or Kraków, as well as in many smaller towns. Recently, solutions have started to use Bytom, Opole, Siedlce, Rzeszów and Konin.

- SkyCash allows you to pay for real time parking thanks to the Start/Stop function, which is chosen by the vast majority of our users - says Tomasz Krajewski, President of the Management Board of SkyCash. - This function is not offered by parking meters, where drivers have to assume in advance how long it will take them to stop and, if necessary, return to the car to buy extra minutes - adds Krajewski.

From the very beginning, mobiParking combines several different payment technologies: mobile application, fast codes (USSD and IVR) and SMS messages. In this way, the solution can be used by all cellular users, regardless of GSM network or phone model. Currently, the most popular among drivers is the mobile application, which is regularly updated with additional features. It allows, among others, to quickly extend the parking time, check how much money has been spent since the moment of stopping and get acquainted with the fees that apply in a given city.

Apart from private users, mobiParking is also used by companies with fleets of vehicles. After activation of the account, they can define cars whose drivers will be entitled to pay parking fees via mobile phone. The system provides constant access to information on parking costs and allows accounting departments to collectively account for parking of all company cars.
