Promotions in supermarkets and dishonest customers
Most of us regularly shop at large discount stores, and the largest brands in Poland are widely known to practically everyone. However, it is not surprising that buying in such shops is much more convenient. We will always meet with a wide range of products, so we can easily do bigger shopping for a longer time.
Regardless of what things someone is interested in, in such a wide range of offers everyone will always be able to find something perfect for themselves. Brands such as Lidl and Biedronka constantly organize many attractive promotions and discounts, so you can find here almost all the time interesting opportunities. Promotions in Biedronka are very popular, because they allow you to do a lot of shopping for little money. It's worth to keep track of the information about discounts appearing, because we will be able to use the most interesting opportunities on an ongoing basis.
It turns out, however, that some louder actions and promotions organized by big discounts at some point get out of control and simply surpass their organizers. An excellent example is the famous Lidl promotion, which has been echoed throughout the country. Customers massively accused the shop of not keeping the terms of promotion, and the network itself claims that it was the other party that could not comply with the rules agreed in advance. The case became so loud that it had to be investigated by the relevant authorities.

At the end of October Lidl announced the beginning of the action "Buy Lidl's brands smartly and cheaply! Absolute satisfaction or a refund. It gave customers the right to buy products of Lidl's brands to try them out. If the product did not meet the customer's expectations, you could return it and get your money back, even if the product was completely used up. However, the promotion was discontinued much ahead of schedule. Many customers started to use it too much, returning to the store mountains of empty packaging worth hundreds of zlotys in action. As a result, dishonest customers could use such tricks, which on the one hand was not very moral, but on the other hand was fully allowed by the rules. The network did not react with any changes and amendments to the regulations, but only closed the action.

At about the same time Biedronka had similar problems, who also had difficulties with the action she had organized. Promotions in Biedronka discounts usually concern discounts on various types of products, usually belonging to specific thematic groups. However, at the end of 2016, the chain decided to introduce a more original campaign. As part of the project, customers were given the opportunity to obtain Fresh Meal - unique mascots in the shape of fruit and vegetables. In order to pick up your mascot, you had to collect 40 stickers first. Stickers were given for many things - one point was given to the customer for every 40 zlotys spent in the shop. They were also granted for the purchase of products from special offers or certain fruit and vegetables. However, it soon turned out that the huge popularity that the action gained in a short time simply exceeded the organizers. It was assumed that Fresh Meal could be picked up in stores until December 4th. In practice, the mascots were already missing at the end of November, and many customers - despite collecting enough points - could not take away the prize they deserved. The Internet has literally gone crazy about it. A lot of complaints have appeared on social networks, written by grieving clients. In addition, it turned out that Fresh Foods are extremely expensive: in many cases, the necessary points cost as much as 2400 PLN. The situation was therefore difficult for the parents, who in all ways tried to get the necessary stickers so that their children could get the mascot they wanted.
Even the best promotions in Biedronka were not as popular as the action with the Freshmen, which simply hit people's tastes. The prize may not have been anything big, but that's what this type of competition is all about. You don't have to put a lot of effort into them to be able to win something. Such actions work, but they must be really carefully thought out and worked out, so that no problematic issues arise during their duration.
