What does a job in financial consulting offer?

Working in financial consulting gives you the opportunity to earn high but irregular earnings. The majority of advisors earn commissions, i.e. remuneration dependent on the sales results. A good financial advisor can earn up to several dozen thousand zlotys a month.

How to become a financial advisor?

A financial advisor is not a regulated profession. This means that there are no requirements that determine who can practice such a profession. However, there are some skills and predispositions which will be appreciated by the potential employer and will make it easier to get a job as a financial advisor:

  • completed studies in economics (courses developing interpersonal skills such as sociology and psychology are also welcome),
  • extensive knowledge of the credit market and other financial products,
  • knowledge of sales techniques,
  • ease of establishing contacts with people,
  • integrity,
  • good manners and impeccable appearance.

Commission, i.e. what does a credit advisor earn?

The services of a financial advisor are usually free of charge for a client who decides to take out a loan, purchase insurance or an investment product. The advisor does not receive his remuneration directly from the customer, but on the basis of a commission on the products sold. The commission can be either percentage or amount depending on the products offered.

How much does a financial advisor earn?

The earnings of a financial advisor are not regular and depend on how many products he can sell in a given month. However, the remuneration can be very high. The highest earnings are earned by advisors who run their own businesses and thus receive the entire commission paid by the bank. Commissions granted to financial advisors usually range from 0.5% to 4% of the transaction value. Assuming that a client using the assistance of an advisor takes out a mortgage loan in the amount of PLN 300 thousand, the advisor will earn from PLN 1500 to 12000 at a time. A good advisor is able to carry out several similar transactions per month. It should be remembered, however, that the financial market is unpredictable - there are times when the advisor sells dozens of high loans and when he does not manage to sell a single deposit.
