How to choose the best car insurance
The group of motor insurance includes third party liability insurance, AC insurance and assistance insurance. The first type of policy is compulsory and must be taken out by any vehicle owner. Others are voluntary, although they can help in many situations, such as a breakdown or theft.
The scope of civil liability insurance for all insurance companies in Poland remains the same, which is enforced by statutory regulations. A significant difference in the choice of OC policies is also their price. The full range of available offers can be found online through professional portals such as Comparison Portals.
How to choose the best third party and AC insurance?
Experts agree that the choice of MTPL insurance should be based primarily on the price, because the scope of the guarantee sums is the same in all insurance companies. Some consumers decide to choose slightly more expensive policies, offered by insurance companies known and on the market for many years.
Unlike compulsory insurance, car AC policies differ in many ways. The AC policy, also known as the autocasco policy, covers the refund of car damage or theft. When choosing the right insurance company, it is important to be aware of the most advantageous scope of the policy. Usually, the offers of the cheapest AC policies concern only the borders of Poland, which may be burdensome and useless for people moving between countries.
An alternative to expensive AC packages are the so-called minicasco, i.e. insurance packages for holders of aged cars. This type of policy only covers cover against total losses that exceed a much greater proportion of the vehicle's value (usually more than 70%). Insurance companies also offer AC policies as part of their own contribution to reduce the premium for autocasco insurance. It consists in a voluntary commitment to cover part of the potential damage with one's own pocket. Similarly, there is also a franchise, which sets a lower limit on the value of the damage, below which insurers do not pay any compensation.
The best assistance insurance
The assistance policy is a voluntary insurance that covers the scope of technical services in the event of a breakdown (towing a car to a workshop, transporting parts and fuel). The choice of this type of policy should be based on real needs, and an assessment should be made as to whether this type of benefit is actually needed.
